Dior pays tribute to modernizing designer Marc Bohan as it kicks off Paris Fashion Week.

This year's Paris fashion week began with the Dior presentation, which paid tribute to the modernizing impulses of the late 97-year-old designer of Dior, Bohan, who designed the brand for 28 years. The event was housed in a white box the size of a provincial airport that was set up in the Tuileries Gardens. The current creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, has a tendency to lean left, and in the Dior archives, she finds more in common with the lesser-known Bohan than the well-known Christian Dior.
